The thing is though even if he stays to win trophies, chances are he won't have much of an impact personally in winning those trophies, as he won't play in very many of the important games along the way. So why it's great to be part of a trophy-winning team, he'd still rather play regularly somewhere else and feel he's actually making a difference for his team.

Sounds like the lad is genuinely torn between leaving the biggest club he'll ever be with and regular footy - can't blame him either. Nice lad, plenty of talent, sadly he's up against Torres for the one position in the team. There will only ever be one winner in that race...James Philip Milner Fanclub #1

Bizarre comment considering Rafa's record in the past 5 years. He's won as much silverware as any Manager in Europe - and the fact that he inevitably rotates fringe players into the domestic cup games.

So he should stay to play around five minutes at the end of the games or around 7-10 games from the start when Torres need a rest/injured?Originally posted by Fan65 View PostHe's earning a lot of money & he's in the England squad.
He'll never start in front of Torres but will play as a sub regularly
He'll get games in Europe and will win medals.
Rafa has stated publically he wants you to stay.
Sign now you idiot.
It all comes down to ambition. If he is after the fame being a Liverpool player, stay, if he want to play, leave.
He more or less gives up his career as a class player if he stays.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

If we sign another attacking player plus that Nemeth will soon get his chance then Crouch would play even less than he do now, that means more or less nothing at all.
If he stays then that really is a lack of ambition. He need to play week in week out to have any chance to be a better player.
That will NEVER happen if he stays.Just believe and you never know what will happen.

Likeable player and does well "sometimes". No time for sentiment though, so I say take the money from Pompey or whoever and replace him. A new striker will come in like Torres and Crouchie will be forgotten about.
Rafa has to be pushing Crouch out. He does not even bring him on lately and then offers him a new contract. I think he knows he wont sign it.Oh the man is a midfield maestro
and his passes are sooo delightful
everyone wants to know

SAdly I think he'll be off & we will lose something when he does go.
Whilst I agree he doesnt fit the present system, he was criminally underused at the beggining of the season when Dirky boy was off form & Voronin was ...erm..on form but still wank as ****.
If we do lose him, we need to get a top class player. Personally I'd rather we kept him & upgraded the pathetically inept Voronin, but it aint my choice & I can sympathise with him if he wants to go.3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Class player ? when did he get that title then ?Originally posted by AFII View PostSo he should stay to play around five minutes at the end of the games or around 7-10 games from the start when Torres need a rest/injured?

At Liverpool he's a super sub and always will be.
He could join another club with little chance of success, i.e out of the top 6 who would probably pay him less , he may start most games, but wont win most, he could win a cup medal if he's very lucky.
That is why I suggested he should look at where he's got to and sign on the dotted line for his own good.
