I think he will leave. I think he would be crazy to leave but some footballers want to play week in and week out and that means more than trophies. Let's be honest if he leaves us his chances of winning trophies with Newcastle, Citeh or Portsmouth are very limited. I think a club like us needs players like Crouch to be able and willing squad members. Look at Solskaer at united for example. Crouch could be that player for us if he wanted.

I might add that if Rafa remains at the helm he might not win an awful lot staying either. Just my opinion.

The thing is though even if he stays to win trophies, chances are he won't have much of an impact personally in winning those trophies, as he won't play in very many of the important games along the way. So why it's great to be part of a trophy-winning team, he'd still rather play regularly somewhere else and feel he's actually making a difference for his team.

Bizarre comment considering Rafa's record in the past 5 years. He's won as much silverware as any Manager in Europe - and the fact that he inevitably rotates fringe players into the domestic cup games.

So he should stay to play around five minutes at the end of the games or around 7-10 games from the start when Torres need a rest/injured?

It all comes down to ambition. If he is after the fame being a Liverpool player, stay, if he want to play, leave.

He more or less gives up his career as a class player if he stays.

If we sign another attacking player plus that Nemeth will soon get his chance then Crouch would play even less than he do now, that means more or less nothing at all.

Likeable player and does well "sometimes". No time for sentiment though, so I say take the money from Pompey or whoever and replace him. A new striker will come in like Torres and Crouchie will be forgotten about.

Whilst I agree he doesnt fit the present system, he was criminally underused at the beggining of the season when Dirky boy was off form & Voronin was ...erm..on form but still wank as ****.

If we do lose him, we need to get a top class player. Personally I'd rather we kept him & upgraded the pathetically inept Voronin, but it aint my choice & I can sympathise with him if he wants to go.

Class player ? when did he get that title then ?

At Liverpool he's a super sub and always will be.

He could join another club with little chance of success, i.e out of the top 6 who would probably pay him less , he may start most games, but wont win most, he could win a cup medal if he's very lucky.

That is why I suggested he should look at where he's got to and sign on the dotted line for his own good.
