    Am I the only one...

...who actually wanted the Arse to take all 3 points yesterday?! I mean not since the Blackburn game at Anfield in '94 did I want us to actually lose a match but in the greater scheme of things 1 point or no point for us would have been neither here nor there however 3 points for the Arse would put the Scum under a lot more pressure than they are at the mo. It would have been better for 2 teams to be challenging Manure for the title than 1.
I hardly ever want us to lose but if us losing stops the Scum winning another league title then I'm willing to consider it...
I ****en hate the Scum so much that I will probably be rooting for the Chavs now to win the league (the lesser of 2 evils!)

I could never bring myself to want us to lose but had they got a winner yesterday, I have to say I wouldn't have been in the least bit arsed.

Arsenal isn't any threat to the scum. They have run out of steam. They will be lucky to finish 3rd tbh. They looked very ordinary yesterday and were fortunate to get a point. We had more chances than them.

We had our chance to halt the scum and we blew it.

The only hope anyone has of catching them is chelsea.

Btw,i really can't ever remember wanting Liverpool to lose any game.

Wanting your own team to lose to stop the mancs winning is embarrasing if you ask me mate. I'd also say that disliking someone more than you love your own is somewhat unhealthy

          Spot on.

Let's face it, assuming Arsenal won yesterday, for them to still have any chance of winning the league they'd have to go to Old Trafford and win. Now can anyone see that happening? Chelsea are the far more realistic challenger, they're closer to Man U in terms of pts, plus they're playing them at the Bridge, not away.

On the other hand, had we beaten Arsenal yesterday, we'd be 5 points behind them with our hardest remaining league fixture out the way and with them still to go to Old Trafford. We'd have had a great chance of taking 3rd. 8 points seem too much of a gap to bridge.

When we were in front I was hoping we'd hold on and take the points. So no, I didnt want them to win. And I'm glad they didn't. Besides a win for them would have struck something of a psychological blow for the Tuesday game.

Don't rule out Boro at home. They beat Arsenal and have caused Utd a few probems at home over the years. If they actually beat / draw with Utd today, and Chelsea also beat Wigan at home next week, Chelsea will be level / a point clear, with Utd still to play Arsenal next Sunday. In addition to that Utd still have to play Chelsea at the Bridge.

Arsenal still can decide where the title goes, but it won't be the Emirates.

It's not all over by a long way. But we could do with Boro getting at least a point today.

I think the problem is that it is now obvious to most people that they have no chance of winning the league including their players, this leaves them with only one chance of silverware this season. Not that they should need motivating for a quater final of the chapions league but I think the result yesterday will have done just that.

I really feel the last place Arsenal would want to go in 3 days time is Anfield on a european night.

We look so much fresher and stronger than them. They only had Adebayor and Clichy rested yesterday.Only Carra,Reina and Skrtel played the First leg.

                I'm really confident for Tuesday.

Arsene Wengers body language yesterday was that of desperation rather than belief.

Yes - but they are a team who are always capable of scoring, and at present we are a team who has an air of conceding from set pieces regularly.

The last thing we need on Tuesday is a tit-for-tat high scoring game.

A nice scrappy 0-0 or 1-0 to us will do me.

                      I agree. I've got a horrible 2-2 feeling.

Fraid so. 1-0 to them, then 1-1, then 2-1 to us, and a late equaliser from them.

If that happens, we need a Stevie "Olympiakos special"

i was bizarelly thinking that while i dont ever want us to lose, it is unfortunate that any result for us at all means that the arse will be needing a result now to salvage their entire season

I'm afraid it smacks of the sort of thing a Neverton fan would say about us, although with the Scum now closing in on our Total i do see where your coming from.
