I thought that Souness was the man to take us forward when Kenny left.

      So did I.

I vividly remember reading it on CEEFAX and Oracle and crying. My Dad saw me and said "don't worry, he'll be back in a year or two".

After reading some of the confessions so far I no longer feel too ashamed, although this one is horrendous.

I bet my mate, a spurs fan, that Voronin would outscore either Berbatov or Robbie Keane this season.

That was a brave thing to do. I certainly wouldn't have.

I must also confess to being absolutely distraught when we signed Crouchie. Sorry Peter, its all good now and I was totally wrong!!

At Uni in 1996, I spent a whole evening arguing that Beckham was a flash in the pan, and that he wouldn't reproduce his Preston form in the PL.

Yeah I've a few unrelated to LFC, too.

I stood up in a pub full of Mancs in one of van Nistelrooy's early appearances for them and shouted "HE'S A ****ING CARTHORSE!" ....and spent the rest of the day/night telling every Manc in there that he would flop big time.

He also called Hobbs (despite knowing nothing of him in the reserves) "the new Alan Hansen" after his league debut at Anfield earlier this season.

                He's sticking by that one.
I've got a mate like that. After seeing Hamman at a pre season friendly against City (at City I think) when he 1st joined he said he was ****.....I think because he didn't come across as an all action box to box sort of player. It took him years to admit he was wrong and that Didi was class

I thought that sissoko was going to be ****ing class for us and in some of his performances (at a time when alonso was playing well too and passing superbly) sissoko was eating up the midfield - i confess that i thought stevie g was in trouble

I thought Torres was going to be a flop. Would have preferred if we had signed Darren Bent

good idea for a thread this

I was convinced we were going to sign Thierry Henry

I thought Morientes would become our Bergkamp - (i am also still convinced that Litmanen would have been if GH knew what to do with a player with a bit of class)

I am in the party that thought Hicks and GG would be good for the club - I wasn't naive enough to belive they would waltz in and splash £300 m ambramovich style on players like snoogy dooogy - but at the very least i was convinced they would sort the stadium out hassle free and we would see much needed wholesale changes with regards to the running of the club as a business (sales and marketing etc)

I used to support Arsenal when I was a wee wee nipper (as my dad and his dad etc did), but then I saw the light. I remember crying in 1989 when we lost the league. My dad ****ing rubbed it in too, cruel ******* - I was only 8!
