Reserves could win the league tonight.

Liverpool Reserves travel to Blackburn Rovers tonight hoping to secure the win that will see them crowned Barclays Premier Reserve League North champions - and you can watch the whole match live on LFC TV from 18:30 GMT.

With Rafael Benitez's first-team squad preparing for their crucial Champions League quarter-final tie at home to Arsenal on Tuesday, Gary Ablett's second-string can get the week off to the perfect start by earning the victory that will see them through to the Reserve League play-off final against the champions of the South Division.

The Reds are eight points clear of their nearest rivals, Manchester City, with three games to play and will be hoping to pick up the win required against Rovers to ensure they cannot be caught at the top.

The match will take place at Morecambe FC's Christie Park and as usual Liverpool FC's official commentator Steve Hunter will be there alongside Reds legend David Fairclough to guide you through the 90 minutes, while presenter Matt Critchley and former favourite John Durnin will be in the studio to provide match analysis.

The show starts at 18:30 GMT with the match set to kick-off at 7pm - so don't miss out on what could prove to be a momentous occasion.

    Great achievment from the lads.

Doesn't seem to be any team news yet though.

Yep - like Saviola when he burst onto the scene

Fantastic talent - great control / vision / passing. Very young so probably another year before we see him anywhere near even a Carling Cup team but would love to see him & Nemeth up top tonight instead of Brouwer

1999-2000 Season apparently was the last time they won it..

Looks like the under 18s are a bit off the pace.

Nice to see us above Man Utd in the Reserves League though.

With that GD as well, a draw pretty much guarantees it tonight anyway.

Thanks for that, very impressive record.

Am I right in assuming that the U-18s have suffered in the league, as the better players are playing for the reserves, rather than for U-18s?

Man City seem to have a great youth set-up.

Looking at that table I assume United's season is over. City and Blackburn are the only teams that could catch us.
I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

I'd say that is a fair point to make
