Having just watched a download of the game , a few observations

It was a cracking game of football played by 2 excellent teams who fought for 90 mins for every ball , and put 100% into every challenge without there being a single evil tackle.

The atmosphere and noise was fantastic , as usual for big Euro nights. Maximum respect to all the fans there who supported and inspired the team

The collective feeling and drive in the team is equally as important as individual moments of brilliance. The never-ending hard work of all the players was so impressive and makes it so hard for teams to beat us in Europe. Torres , as well as producing one moment of magic, also worked his socks of , running non-stop.

Rafa is a tactical genius
And just this once I managed to guess right and suggested Crouch up front and Babel as sub to run at the tired Arsenal players. (Thanks to tommyg and Operation for the acknowledgment )

I don't think any other team produces drama the way we do, winning or losing. And I am fairly sure the semi against the Chavs will be the same. Another pair of heart attack evenings.

Rafa has given us magical, wonderful European nights on a regular basis

I think i will watch it again this evening

I'd just like to add my voice to the "what a game" cacophony

Thought we'd set our selves up for a pasting after the, frankly, bizarre 442 we came out with - and I tend to think it was our heart, passion and belief that saw us through. Honestly thought, and still do, that Rafa made a mistake with the formation. Second half we improved as Arsenal tired, and Babel (yet again) proved what a fantastic supersub he has been this year.

Oh and Torres didn't even look at where he was in relation to the goal, pure genius, knew exactly where he was. Top Class.

Perfectly understandable IMO. Rafa, amazingly, agreed with those of us who thought Crouch should start!

Crouch didn’t have a particularly effective game but unarguably Rafa’s selection worked. Babel’s best performances have mainly come when he’s been introduced from the bench and he did the trick again.

I found it bizarre that we changed from a formation where we'd done well in recent weeks (bar United) and while I agree with the sentiment that Crouch didn't deserve to be dropped the formation should have taken precedent. We were completely over run in midfield in the first 30minutes, completely. In fact, I'd say we were shambolic. Gerrard drifting, Alonso not with the pace, Mascherano over compensating, and Kuyt showing why he isn't a true midfielder.

We were helped massively by grabbing an excellent goal, Arsenal tiring, Flamini going off, and the crowd. Plus we started to change things in the second half.

Keeping Babel in reserve was a great move, and probably should be his role in every game from now til the end of the season.

Still, we ****ing WON!
