Genuinely - was it a penalty?

Clear penalty and he should have been sent off for stopping a goal scoring opportunity. Add that to the yellow that Hleb didn't get in the forst leg for diving and I feel a great sense of injustice!

It was a pen but so was Hlebs, the reason why ours was given and their's wasn't is because we aren't cheating, diving scum who try to con decisions every 2 minutes, **** like that comes back to bite you.
It's like the boy who cried wolf.
Anyway, surprised Wenger could see both penalty incidents so clearly........The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

I thought it was more a penalty than the Hleb one last week. Babel was pulled back then barged in the back by Toure.
Funny the commentators described it as identical to the Hleb one which last week they were saying was a stonewall penalty but this one was dubious
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Another point is that you have to consider the referees, Last weeks referee was letting a few fouls go if there were only slight contact, last nights ref was punishing any contact as a foul.
Both referees were consistent over the game but the difference between the two makes it appear there were inconsistencies over the tie. Does anyone know why UEFA don't use the same officials for both legs were possible? The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

That's exactly why and probably the reason Fabregas didn't get a pen at the weekend too. If you feel a slight touch and throw yourself on the floor then the dramatics make the offence look less serious, if you stay on your feet until you have no choice then there is nothing to distract the officials from the fouls. I never knew how much the Arse dived until these three games, they'd go over with a strong breeze. You reap what you sow Arsene, but don't expect any paid 'pundit' to bring that into the equation.

yes, one angle shows it clearly was a pen, other angles are not so clear, wonder which angles the TV will constantly show.Originally posted by AFII View PostClear cut penalty. When you see it from the angle behind Babel then you see why it's a clear cut one.
Fabregas should have walked by the way when Babel scored the fourth. Just because the ref played advantage don't mean that the goal chance red card shouldn't been given.
