    Yellow Cards

Cards picked up in the knockout stages roll over from one round to the next, Gerrard and Carragher and someone else can't remember who are 1 booking away from a 1 match suspension, so if they are booked in 1st leg of semi they miss 2nd leg, if they are booked in 2nd leg of semi they miss final if we were to get there
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I have checked and Gerrard , Aurelio , Babel & Yossi are the only ones to receive yellow cards in the knockout stages...

Diabolical rule that imo, for an accumulation of yellows to make a player miss a final, especially when half of them were most likely not even worthy of a yellow.

I didn't really pay attention to who had been booked, but I was fairly sure only bookings in the knockout stages counted towards suspensions, you're right about that then I don't know where the Carragher one has come from, I knew ITV said we had 3 players 1 booking away from suspension in starting lineup

I agree I think that the final should be excluded from suspensions from the accumulation of yellows. A suspension for a sending off is fair enough though

21.02 In case of repeated cautions, a player is suspended for the next competition
              match:
              a) after two cautions in two different qualifying matches, as well as after the
              fourth caution during the qualifying phase;
              b) from the first match in the group stage, after three cautions in three
different matches, as well as following any subsequent odd-numbered
              caution (fifth, seventh, ninth, etc.).

21.03 Single yellow cards and pending suspensions are always carried forward
either to the next stage of the competition or to another club competition in
              the current season.

21.04 Exceptionally, single cautions from the qualifying phase that have not
resulted in a suspension expire on completion of the qualifying phase in
              question.

21.05 Cautions and pending yellow-card suspensions from club competition
matches expire at the end of the season.

pretty sure i seen somewhere that essien is out
"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

Looks like they are more affected than us then. I am sure we can wind up Terry in the first leg and get him suspended for the 2nd!!
