There is one exception….and he, of course, is a Bluenose. I don’t actually know the fella – he works with my missus – but he’s always telling her how much he “hates that cunt Torres”, and it’s gone into overdrive since his derby goal. The wife listens to me when it comes to football and basically plagiarises everything I say on the subject. So she says to him “what is there to hate about him? He’s humble and a great player – is it because he’s brilliant, he scores lots of goals and scored against you? i.e. you’re bitter?”

RVN scored 23 PL and 36 overall in 45 games most scored by a foreigner.

I bumped into a friend last week who i used to play football with, we started talking about Liverpool...and quickly got onto Torres. I was always talking about this wonderkid at Atletico, they all thought i was just talking up some young Spanish kid. As soon as he mentioned Torres, i looked him in the eye, and said "See i told you he was going to be a star".

So in summary- back the **** off!! I was on the Torres bandwagon before any of you knew who he even was....he's mine
