Chelsea are far from what they were under Mourinho, I bet the lfc players feel they could go to the bridge and bag 2 away goals. Fancy us strongly.

I think we have to only win one more game in the league to get fourth spot. Everton have games against Arsenal and Chelsea who both are going for the title, more the latter than the former. If we beat Blackburn on Sunday, we can start to use the rest of the squad for the remainder of the games.

As for the upcoming games I wouldnt be at all surprised if Rafa left half the squad in Liverpool for the Fulham match. Think we'll definitely see Plessis again and maybe Nemeth will be involved too.
We're screwed if we don't win the first leg so thats where the focus should be. If Sunderland can put 3 past Fulham, we can score 6

Mascherano is suspended for the weekend, so thats one change anyway. But I can see us using the full squad in the remaining Premiership fixtures. Expect Rafa to keep his favoured players for the remaining CL games. I think that we're pretty much in the same boat as last year, can't see the bitters catching us now, especially as they've got Chelsea and Arsenal still to play.
Expect wholesale changes for every match from now on.
And as far as the bottom teams go, I think that the bottom three now are the three that we'll not be missing next season, so nowt to do with us!Statistics are like bikinis. What they reveal is suggestive, but what they conceal is vital. Aaron Levenstein

I like the fact that Chelsea have away to Blackburn and home to United around the time of our fixtures.I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

any reason why we need to win these particular matches rather than just get 9 pts form all our remaining matches?Originally posted by mersey86 View PostFrom my perspective, we need to win our two home games and our game at Fulham. The bitters play away to bham which is a must win for bham as that could boost thier chances of survival whereas we have to win our league match with blackburn so end of this weekend we can be 6 points cleared.Originally posted by BFG View PostI think we should be fine for 4th now. The bitters still have to play chelsea......i guess we just have to focus on our remaining matches and take it game by game.

I'm suggesting we don't drop any easy points ... away to Birmingham and Tottenham could both be awkward ... but I don't think you meant that as a serious question.Originally posted by Nic83 View Postany reason why we need to win these particular matches rather than just get 9 pts form all our remaining matches?I'm playing all the right notes. Its great that Everton are playing well before us as the team can be picked knowing exactly what we need to do to keep fourth.
Bluescum have still got to play Arsenal and Chelsea. No way that they would pick up 6 points there. They would be lucky for just 3.Twin boys - now arriving late August 2008.
Its gonna be Fernando and Gerrard if I get my way!

Exactly & playing against teams fighting for their Premiership lives is no easy proposition even with your 1st team. So Fulham won't be easy no matter what team we put out cos it looks as though they will be fighting 'till the end of the season to secure Prem status whereas by the time we play Birmingham they might just be safe from the drop.Originally posted by andyinswinton View PostIts great that Everton are playing well before us as the team can be picked knowing exactly what we need to do to keep fourth.
It would have been nice had we played Chelski away in the 1st leg as Fulham is within walking distance to Chelski & the squad could have just stayed in London for the duration of the 2 games. Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

Sound judgement, I agree with it. Although perhaps Crouch might start with Torres on the bench on Sunday.Originally posted by Scratch View PostSunday, 13 April 2008
