Our Spending under Rafa Question ?

Sorry if this really doesn't warrent it's own threat but I have seen many break downs of comparisons of scum , chelsea and our spending over the last 4-5 years (net spending stats) and was hoping someone could help as need it for an argument dirty with scum fan,
    cheers lads

A dirty scum fan is wrong whatever the subject of the 'debate' is. So just reinforce the fact you think he and Gary Neville are cunts and walk away graciously.
Winning an argument on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win you are still a retard!

The first reply gives you the only answer you need.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

Here are some figures for you

Rafa's net spend (sales less recovered) over the past four years has been £70m

Liverpool's European Cup earnings during our incredible run of winning, last 16 and runners up (excluding what we are going to earn this season) are £70m

So salaries aside, player sales and european cup earnings alone more than cover everything Rafa has spent on players since coming here.

        Not bad is it?

Net spend since Rafa arrived is about 70m. Happily, prize money from CL performance since his arrival will break the 100m barrier this year.

I think that's all you need to tell them

The more you analyse it the better Rafa looks. In this time of turmoil it is Rafa who has and will walk us through the storm.

He's the sort of arsehole who will win a champion's league trophy just to divert everyone's attention from the embarrassing civil war at home.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

How did Rafa's team compare to Fergies when he started. In otherwords we still have to factor in the starting point.

                        Exactly.

West Brom could be promoted and spend £30m for three years. If we spent £25m for the same number of years the chances are we would still be light years above them.

Now there is always the chance that West Brom could get lucky and find some bargain buys that become world class. But for that you need a top scouting system, ala Arsenal.

Now again, our scouting network is better than theirs, so the chances of them finding the hiddem gems before us are again very unlikely.

So the chasm that is there is not easy to bridge.
                        Forwards.......
