No harm in taking legal advice especially as the FA have named us in the investigation. I have a feeling this is all just because Boro have had a good whinge and the FA have to be seen to be taking them seriously. Arnesson is in more bother I reckon.rnm is funny, funny like funny haha.
Goals 2006/7 (CS, PL, CL)
1: Agger, Bellamy, Fowler, Alonso, Garcia
2: Gonzalez, Kuyt, Riise
5: Crouch

Frankly find it hilarious how Chelsea are charged with tapping-up Arnesen and then Arnesen is going off tapping-up players himself. It's a domino-effect tapping-up bonanza.Originally posted by G_ManNo harm in taking legal advice especially as the FA have named us in the investigation. As far as it goes with Middlesbrough, they are still sore over the Ziege deal and see this as an oppurtunity to furthur besmurge the name of the club. I'd be pissed if I was Middlesbrough too, though, in fairness

To be fair, it doesn't look like Gibson blames the clubs involved, just the agent.
From The Times Online:
"Gibson dismissed any suggestion of wrongdoing by the London club. “We knew what was going on with Nathan and what I saw with Chelsea and Liverpool didn’t, in my opinion, transgress the rulebook,” he said.
“It looked as if a meeting was called by the agent and, during the course of that meeting, names were thrown into it, including Nathan’s, but the clubs responded in a pretty neutral manner. The agent was the problem, not the clubs, and we won’t be putting any complaint, formal or otherwise, into the Premier League or the other authorities.
“We don’t have a problem with the conduct of Chelsea and Liverpool. I think Arnesen may have broken the rules but Chelsea shouldn’t be held accountable for that.”

I think they would be naive not to take legal advice on this one, I would have thought that Boro would have had something up their sleve for this one. Especially after us and the Zeige affair.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
* After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

I was advised by the police that the advice I received was to be taken with a pinch of salt.
So I advise you that the advice I am about to give tastes worse than vinegar.

The whole tapping up side of football is a joke. I doubt there is a single signing nowadays were a player hasn't been tapped up. And why shouldn't a player under contract be able to talk to other clubs anyway? In the real world people talk to rivals all the time about potential jobs etc.AKA Heighway No9
