So true, that's why scouts don't go to the games anymore. They just buy a subscription to Sky and Setanta.

Personally I don't know why they bother. I think the latest update of FM2008 should suffice, along with a quick glimpse on Youtube to confirm the signing.

To be honest, had we bought players based on footy manager we wouldn't have to bad a team!

Apparently they have real scouts to come up with the attributes for each player. The one thing a computer game can not predict is the attitude of the player and injuries, which of course affects future development.

You miss the atmosphere, thats what anfield is all about. For example the Inter and Arsenal european games were out of this world in terms of experience so armchair fans miss out in a big way. Nothing beats being in the KOP
