when we've splashed the cash we've done well - reina, agger, skertl, alonso, masch, garcia, torres, babel

the only disappointment for me in big money spending for us has been kuyt

when we've thought maybe's and stop gaps for the 1st team they've failed to make enough of a impact - pennant, bellamy, voronin, gonzalez, yossi, possibly lucas imo.

genuine mistakes have only been morienties

we'll have at least 20 million to spend and at least 20 million from sales probably have a gross transfer budget in the region of 50 million- 2 to 3 world class players only please for me

Great game today, we played well on all parts and especially in the second half...

Good to see Gerrard back on top of his game (eventhough he dived a bit), Torres is just pure class up front!!!

Great to be 5 points clear, so that we can concentrate a bit on the CL, whereas chelski still have to think domestical as well...

gerard never dived today. if there is contact on the player it cant be a dive. fair enough he went down easily but every other player in this country does the same thing.
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

The first time against Friedel was surely a dive - IMO there was no contact whatsoever...

I don't think it was a penalty at all because the ball had gone, but there was definite contact. You can clearly see Gerrards foot being caught by Friedel's knee.

The replays showed there was definite contact.

He was looking for it though and his threatrical fall made the ref's mind up.

The one in the second half with Samba was a pure dive though.

However we did have one legitimate peno denied when Torres was taken down in the box.

I don't think the 2nd one was a dive. Samba blatantly pushed him over. First one I'm not so sure on.

He was all ready on the way down at that point

                      Thought Torres worked hard today.

Was constantly chasing the ball down and harassing defenders.

The one in the first half was a push yes, outside the box. Samba was lucky not to be sent off for that one. I'm referring to an incident in the second half where Gerrard stormed into the box, tried to cut inside Samba and went down looking for the penalty.

Ah right ok! Fair enough. He does go to ground far too easily.

                            great performance from the lads.
                            3 - 1 win against a decent side.
Easy to nitpick about individual mistakes , but we won and we progress.

                            Torres
                            Gerrard
                            Rafa

After the big Arse trilogy it was a good win
