So how do we know he isn't telling the truth then? I mean don't get me wrong, I have no reason to believe he would be, but he can't really win can he? He says nothing he gets stick. He comes on air and answers the questions that we all want to know and he'll still get stick - I have no doubt that the majority will just call him a liar. So what is he supposed to do (and don't say **** off ).
I'm not now backing him or saying he is our saviour, but I really can't be arsed to spend my time spitting with fury at the guy. Maybe we should see how this plays out, and then make our minds up who really was the bad guy. Who knows - if he does what he said in that interview, then would things really be all that bad? And even if there is some debt on the club - well that's how the mancs are at the moment and we don't hear them complaining currently.
Basically most of what we believe about him (and Gillette) has been fed to us from the media, and we know they aren't always right.
I know my opinion isn't going to be very popular, but meh, I'm not just going to be a sheep and call him a cunt etc, because I really don't know.
He is going to make us debt free? Doesn't he have a 35 year history of being a leveraged buy-out specialist? So why's he going to change his philosophy?
I hate the ****er for selling his soul to the Daily Mail and Sky. Both of them hate LFC and enjoy slating us at any opportunity they get. Sky must be loving airing this crap and causing more turmoil at the club

Continue to hate him ... He won't go away like that it's clear. And you'll spite your hate again and again. Bad for your health that.
He was the one that told Rafa to concentrate on coaching and training his team and leave the transfer business to Parry and that wasn't six months ago.
Well, I haven't heard him personally say that. It's all been through statements via the media. Words can be twisted. I'm not siding with him, just saying that we need stability and that he won't go away like that.
He's said he's gonna give Rafa an extension on his contract. That's great news to me. If he becomes the sole owner, and therefore ensuring all these shenanigans are stopped, and Rafa gets his transfer targets. It's fine by me.
I've been critical of these two americans in the past. I've not changed my mind, but I'm starting to get sick at all this bickering. It's got to stop, one way or another. Dragging the club like it's been done is no good.
im convinced that gg and parry's silence speaks volumes about their acts behind the scenes. i believe the debt and klinsmann are largely down to gg/parry. simple as that.
rafa has in the past been pushy and leaked stories about real being interested and forcing parry/moores' hands about his contract and signing players. this will have irked parry and gg especially with rafa's outbursts. but i back rafa on this as parry/moores' track record on transfers is woeful.
as for the debt. hicks isnt going to subsidise an undercapitalised partner for nothing is he. if they are 50-50 then he will put in what gg puts in. the debt is ggs fault. hicks was always confident whilst we heard nothing of gg.
with respect to hicks' lies in the past. surely he's been torn between the party line going with what gg has said and saying what he actually wants to. he's obviously ditched gg now and its time for him to speak and get his own viewpoint across.
not being an expert on football isnt a crime so it makes sense that it has taken hicks time to get an understanding of things. gg has taken parrys word for everything for the same reason. parry has been playing dirty games and leading gg against rafa.
hicks told rafa to shut up and manage the team right? well what on earth is wrong with that? the team needed his focus and the manager throwing a tantrum was not needed. rafa deserved to be slapped down after his press conference.
gg and parry are the problem causers in this i have no doubt. hicks' fault is that he won't shut up. but who made things public in the first place and who keeps leaking anti-hicks stuff into the media? not going to be hicks is it. if i was hicks i'd have no choice but to defend myself publicly if im being wrongly lambasted.
there's no hard evidence that hicks is bad or good as yet is there. he's making these promises about the debt which, for me, are crucial. if he's genuine then why have gg and parry gone against him during the re-financing? either they want the debt on the club and he doesnt or the other way round. what if parry & gg want the debt on the club?
how do we know which way moores' vote has gone regarding this too? if at the moment the board is 3-3 and moores voting with hicks then ousting parry for ian ayers makes sense doesnt it. ousting parry to take the vote from a 2-4 to a 3-3 isnt going to achieve much.
Who is the fat leatherfaced mutha****er trying to convince with this stage managed sham.
That Lfc mug, the shirts and scarves, and the whole family watching the match at 7 in the morning....the fat cunt must think we're braindead sheep to fall for that.
These are the final throws of a drowning hog.
Moores will never vote to get rid of Parry, their friendship is the reason to why Parry is still our CEO and our club hasn't moved forward fast enough.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I wouldnt be so certain if I were you
Interesting though that he hasnt got another investor.... I just want it sorted... I just want this lack of leadership to finish
cause he said we wanted to get rid of parry six month ago?
well afii, just because he wanted to get rid of parry back then doesn't neccessarily mean he wants rafa to be in charge or transfer dealings - which is what we said back then, that rafa should concentrate on the team, not on handling transfers.
He named Parry as the one who should take care of our transfer dealings and that was at a time that he now says that he wanted Parry out....

I'm broadly with you but I do think the interview is a mistake on his part and forms part of a pattern. Conducting business via the press is not what any of the fans want to see and open civil war is helping no one at the minute.
I've been arguing for a while that we possibly don't have enough evidence to judge either of the owners in isolation for a while. However for every time they seem to be getting on with things (such as the Mascher transfer) there is another example of how they are ruining the image and hence potential advertising value of the club like this interview.
Large parts of it seem to be down to a culture clash and failure to understand what European football fans want to see and in particular what LFC fans want to see.
In response to AFIIs point about Hicks and stability. I thought only Corinthians had had stability problems in a real way in the others the problem was more one of stagnation. We have already seen pretty substantial investment in the team under the current ownership which would indicate that they have on some levels seen that this investment requires different things to their other ones to make it work for them.
I would say though that the way to convince fans of their worth is to get on with the likes of planning the stadium and working out a time table for decisions such as how to proceed with the ownership problem and not to keep blathering on in the media.
Some of the decisions that Hicks seems to want for example about Parry and Rafa would have been met with joy when they first took over. They remain sound choices in my book. However currently they just appear to be tactics in the battle for ownership of the club.

Further to all this, Alan Brazil again confirmed this morning on Talk sport his sauce had stated that "Gillette had shaken hands with DIC to sell in May", and that "Hicks can't raise the money and is a dead man walking".
He named Parry as the one who should take care of our transfer dealings and that was at a time that he now says that he wanted Parry out....
All that means is that he wants some separation between the financial and football elements of deals IMO and Parry was the logical person with experience in the club to do the finance aspect. Obviously there is the alternative explanation you put forward but I see no reason that I should believe that over just thinking he feels transfers should be the domain of the CEO whom so ever that might be at the time.

His source... hmmm I would like to say that I had any faith in it, but I suspect his source gets their info from the same places we do.
A Hicks DIC 50:50 split would be even more of a nightmare
