I support Rafa and his vision. I am disappointed that Hicks is promising a 1 year extension, that to me is a token gesture to get fans on board. I am more disappointed that DIC have not stated their intention to back Rafa. If they came out today and said Rafa will get a 2 year extension to his contract they would have me at Hello.

Nothing wrong with a one year contract extension, it'll keep Rafa here til 2010/11, and then one would assume that so long as the results continue to be produced, further extensioins will be offered.

Pointless offering the man a 5 year contract, and then the worst happens and it all goes wrong for Rafa, cos then in order to sack him (god forbid) there would be a heavy compensation to pay.
