team pretty much picks itself, only ? is whether carra moves to right back with hypia in the middle or if carra plays next to skertl with finnan on the right.

we need to treat this game like the 2nd leg and attack the *******s like we did the last two time we played them.

Based on his performance on Sat I think Lucas should be in contention. Not sure on whether he will have recovered by Tues though. I only hope Xabi can retain the ball this time.

I think with Carra @ RB we are more solid. Given the importance of not conceding an away goal and that Finnan does not offer much more offensively I'd be inclined to use Carra @ RB

I can see the logic in that. I think Benayoun is too weak for a game against Chelsea, he has a lot of skill but isn't great at holding the ball up. I like many others would like to have Babel on the bench as a sub but I think at home in the end he will get the nod to start and we will line up with the seeming first choice of Kuyt, Gerrard and Babel behind Torres.

Actually thinking about it I agree with the sentiments especially Babbs as an impact sub, Whats the deal with Finnan .. has he been injured or something ?

That would be my team, all apart from Benny. Babel played well against a full Chelsea team from the start when we played in the Carling Cup. He's well rested, been back to Holland this week and so should be raring to go.

I'll be very disappointed if Carra does play RB, he did his best against Arsenal but combined with Dirk it has to be one of the least dynamic flanks in Europe.

It HAS to be Finnan or Arbeloa IMO.
