Yeah me too.

Purely in terms of football, tactical acumen etc, I fancy us strongly but I have a nagging doubt based solely on the law of averages.

If we were told, say, five years ago, that we'd face Chelsea in three European Cup sem-finals, not many of us, if any, would've predicted three wins for us. In fact not many neutrals would predict three wins for Chelsea either.

Three out of three is a big ask but, taking the tie on its own merits, I fancy us to win.

Saying that I would prefer losing to Chelsea now than to the Scums in Moscow. That would really be the sucker punch!!!!!!

But consistency in the CL has shown in recent years to be different to consistency in the league. In knock out CL competition we have beaten them 100% of the times we have played them.

In general I tend to agree with your assessment but I think the CL has shown it is a special circumstance and one in which we have consistently thrived. A good case for us being the better CL team could be made I think.
