We are getting ahead ourselves. The worry about Moscow however isn't just that United or Liverpool fans might be spoiling for a fight but that Post Litvinenko the Russians are spoiling for a fight with the UK. Unfortunatly they'd welcome a nice diplomatic incident. Expect zero co-operation from the Russian authorities with the Uk police and two clubs plus the spectre of a disgruntled Abromovitch whose still got a hotline to the Kremlin egging things on in the anticipation of Liverpool and United being kicked out of Europe.

It isn't going to be moved so you can forget about plan B and all that.
It's going to go off, no doubt about it. I just hope that Barca knock the SCUM out and save everyone a lot of bother.Originally posted by Gordon Brown

No chance of a change of venueIt needs to be moved around the various countries yes, but we are not talking generally, we are talking about an LFC V Scum final only, a one off event that imo would be better handled by our authorities, for safety reasons if nothing else.Originally posted by Nic83 View PostYou can't move it. the whole idea is to spread it around europe each year so as fans from all areas have a chance to go, just like the world cup. Nothing wrong with playing there, good stadium and good pitch. Just because England got smashed there...
The thought of both sets of the bad minority from each club clashing in Moscow doesn't bear thinking about, this result will be hard to take for the losing fans. Surely everyone has a concern over this.
However, i don't see it being moved now, unless uefa surprise us all. Which i doubt very much.Last edited by Vermilion; 22-04-08, 06:58 PM.

Exactly, the thought of our great LFC trampling over the best of Europe (as usual) only to play a final of such magnitude against one of our own just doesn’t get me as excited as the thought of playing one of the Milans, Madrid or hopefully Barcelona. Don’t get me wrong I’ll still be watching if we get there come May but if it’s against the Scum it will be with a bitter taste in my mouth.Originally posted by Ben Tover View PostNo, I am like that as well. The whole point of European football is to play foreign teams but thats how English football has become now.
Come on LFC and tomorrow, Come on Barcelona

It is a **** stadium, I am fed up of going to watch football in athletic stadiums. I have been to the last 3 finals and it would be nice to be close enough to get a decent view considering the money spent travelling to these (ill equiped to deal with the situation) countries.Originally posted by Nic83 View PostYou can't move it. the whole idea is to spread it around europe each year so as fans from all areas have a chance to go, just like the world cup. I also could not care less about fans from all countries getting to see the games. If you have been you will see that the locals are more interested in selling their tickets for huge profits than actually going to the game.

It isn't going to be moved, it is not going to happen.
The russians have spent 18 months getting ready for this final, UEFA aren't going to change the venue just because LFC and SCUM get there.
We just have to hope Barca win. This time we will know before the 2nd leg who are waiting in the final, what a strange sensation that will be

Out of curiosity would you rather:
A) Lose to Chelsea here?
OR
B) Lose to Manure in the final?
Both are extemely difficult to decide, I think I'd maybe cut my losses with Chelsea here though.
Anyhow, doubt it's going to happen because I'm sure we're going to win and Barca will meet us there.

Do you really see Barca going through? They look absolutely poor, the defence is shoddy, can't defend long balls, a lot of them are carrying injuries.Originally posted by Zapater View PostOut of curiosity would you rather:

IMO I don't. As much as it kills me to admit, the scum are likely to be too strong for them tonight. Apparently Messi, Deco & co are more arsed about being allowed to go out every night than concentrating on such trivial things as training and rest etc...
I suspect delusions of grandeur or believing their own hype..!
