Where you watching a different game to the rest of us on Tuesday? Aside from a moment of madness in the final seconds what have you seen to believe that we would go down 2-1?

This outcome is feasible, but then they all are as both games are so evenly poised.

Thought Barca gave United a footballing lesson last night until the last third.

I arrived in work this morning thinking they’d all be like “ooh great disciplined performance” but the two I’ve spoken to so far are GUTTED! And angry!

Both think they’re going out. Unless it’s another goalless draw and pens, United need to win – Barca don’t.

so many possibilities.... barca have a chance in old trafford - ferguson's achilles heel is a confused understanding of "tactics" in europe so he might set things up wrong again at home. if scum just play their normal game they could trounce barca but it's still an open game...

but - let's just say barca get through somehow. if we could get past chelsea number 6 would be ours. we definitely wouldn't bottle a final against barca. chelsea should beat barca in the final as well but there's a good chance that grant woukld do something to **** it up or under the glare of a champio's league final the cracks in the chelsea team would show.

scum still favourites overall but thety may have thrown it away last night.

as an aside (i can't post a link to yuotube from work) check youtube for dunphy taking ronaldo apart last night on rte and exposing him for the petulant workshy cunt he really is. i just can't get my head around the way he treats his own teammates. they can't like him and i think this will signal the end of his stay at utd at some stage unless he grows up.

i think i agree that its a chavski - barca final. two glaring events in the first legs. riise OG and ronaldo's pen miss. you know the old adage about 'meant to be and not meant to be' riise basically gave them two goals and ronaldo missed out on utd getting two goals. thats significant i think.

i believe we can do it but time will tell i guess.

Nonsense. We will play Barca in Moscow in May.

It's our Cup Final on Tuesday. The players will be up for it, just like they have been up for it in the previous two semi-finals at the Bridge. We've had chances in those games to score but not taken them. I'm hoping Torres and Gerrard don't have another off day.

1-1 is not a bad result at all. More gutted with the way it happened. I always said we'd ahve to score there so nothing has changed. If we score early that Riise goal will be forgotten and it will be game on

Chelsea think they're already through...big mistake

When we were 2-0 up against Inter we went to the San Siro and played with the wrong mindset. Bit too defensive and the game changed with a sending off. I would have taken 1-0 here but I think the players would have been in two minds at the Bridge being 1-0 up and we probably would have been too negative and lost. Now we've got to be positive and I think it will suit us

And I'd much prefer playing Chelsea than Barca. You know one thing with them, is that they'll attack, therefore you have to control them.

Chelsea is different, am not meaning they won't 'attack', but they are a much more disciplined side in that respect, therefore allowing us to concentrate on breaking them down. Anyway, it's a clear picture for us.

As for United, well, I think that Fergie got his tactics totally wrong last night. They should have taken the game to Barca, instead of trying to play on the counter and look to be solid. Now they'll have to, and Barca can and surely will exploit this !!! A score draw is good enough for them!

You're right about Fergie. That's why he's a good domestic manager but lacking in Europe to be honest. That wasn't the right kind of performance by them. Think they'll regret not getting an away goal to be honest

I was surprised by how upbeat the press have been about a 0-0. I actually thought both teams were a bit crap in some respects last night but that if I had been the Barca manager a cleansheet against United at home would have been just what I would have wanted. Obviously you would have liked to have seen something, anything in the final third but Eto'o, Messi etc are more than capable of pulling something out of the bag at OT.

I thought United's tactics were wrong, too defensive, no one supporting Ronaldo or holding up play in midfield. They basically had three deep lying midfielders which gifted Barca their 65% of posession and gave them little chance (after the penalty) of getting an away goal.

Exactly. Thought that was very weird from Fergie. It's the first leg, ffs, be offensive and try to kill the game straight away! Even if they'd lost, let's say 2-1, that away goal would have been better than not scoring.

I think Fergie's very poor tactically wise. That's why he's brought someone like Queiroz alongside him.

Unfortunately Barca lost their momentum when Messi went off last night, it was a mistake by Frank bringing on Bojan when Henry was chomping at the bit. I think Thierry is a cert to start at Old Trafford, he'd love to stick one up them.
