Seriously on this question is there any recognizable and decent supporters group advocating that we boycott the kit etc. I want it and my two kids but if it gets Hicks out of the club I am happy to bite the bullet and boycott the kit !

What have adidas or Carlsberg done to us that they deserve to be punished because of Thicks?

Thicks will not stop me proudly wearing my club colours. CUNT! Holding a massive demonstration at every game would have a better effect then boycotting shirt sales, but then demo's never really worked either did they? the yanks are still here.

Look at the violent demos the scum fans had, owners leaving in a riot van, did no good, the only way to hurt Hicks is in the pocket, don't even know if a shirt boycott would work but it's about tipping the balance, giving Hicks enough doubt that he will porofit because of fan power.

But in all honesty not enough fans would do it, so it most likely would have no effect, it's a personal choice, i'm not buying this year because it makes me feel that i have done my bit, it's really all i can do to show my discontent, & i feel i'm being true to my views, that Hicks is a real Danger to this club.

But i totally respect your choice & wish to wear the colours of our great club, it's a choice i will be making too, but i'll be in a shirt i already own.

Surely the point is that this is a revenue stream not just for Adidas and Carlsberg but pricipally one Mr T Hicks. If he got the message that fans were starting to withdraw their commercial support perhaps that would be the straw that breaks the camels back and forces him finally to cede. He needs the revenue from shirt sales for his loans etc. But again there is no point in me or several individuals boycotting the new kit as it would need to be an organised initiative by a recognised and respected fans group. You dont need the latest kit to show your support for LFC but Hicks certainly needs you to buy it !

IMO, not to disagree with the arguement for and against. If I thought boycott would work I'm be stood next to the old oil drum with the burning wood in it.

On the grand scheme of things a boycott of shirts does nothing and as I have pointed out regardless of what we have done or what Man U supporters did our respective owners are still here.

Corporate sponsors put a lot into the club. The Carlsberg deal might only be worth 8 million a year but it is still a positive revenue stream into the club. Suppose we boycott the shirt sales and he thinks that it harms him financially so he decided to sell Torres to make up for the shortfall? pie in the sky, no?

A boycott of the game would be a better show of disdain for the ****er, but again, what affect does it have on the team playing at an empty stadium? Are we then showing him that individuals are bigger than the club.

The fact remains that the man (you and I) in the street, try as we might, has no control or influence over the chapter that we are on. Unless anybody has a spare 500 million that they don't need, I've checked, I don't.

All we can do is remain vocal.
