Dreams come true. Without that possibility, nature would not incite us to have them.

My son Foster is a fan of soccer. He was a goaltender. His brother was a defenseman.

Yep. Shame he wasn't used more by us in his all too brief time here. And he was a massive LFC fan.Originally posted by Lee View Post"Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

He was ****ing class. Didn't play enough. I vividly remember his performance v City in the Cup. I was in the Upper Cent and had a great view of him orchestrating everything. We won 4-2 and Jari was taken off at half time but gave a totally masterful display. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I though Heskey / Owen was a really poor partnership. Heskey had one good season, where he played on the shoulder of defenders, and used his bulk to his advantage. But he had no real understanding with Owen, I have no idea why he sung his praises. Then he became ****, but he kept his place regardless of his performance as one of Houlliers favourites, and was undroppable
Litmanen would have been the perfect partner for Owen, as he would have provided through balls along the ground where he wanted it, whereas Heskey alway flicked it off in the opposite direction to Owen runs, or in the air where he could not reach it anyway. In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

Houllier, more than any manager, used to frustrate me with his team selections. Litmanen definitely should have got more game time. He was billed as the final piece of the jigsaw and was always being left out of the team."That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.
Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

Sounds plausible to me. Houllier strikes me as a vain and insecure man..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

I'm pretty sure I heard it somewhere. I wouldn't make up something as obscure as that but it's totally believable bearing in mind what Houllier was like towards the back-end of his managerial stint. Played some of the most boring/negative football I've ever seen. His stubborness knew no bounds
