Anyone Care To Second Guess Striker Partnership for Tomorrow?

Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez is again prepared to shake up his forward line
this weekend against Tottenham despite the impressive performances of Dirk
    Kuyt and Craig Bellamy.

Kuyt grabbed his first goal for the club in Wednesday's 2-0 win over
Newcastle while Bellamy also troubled the defence of his former club.

Yet Benitez, who has attracted attention for his failure to pick a
consistent side, could again change things with England forward Peter Crouch
and Robbie Fowler waiting in the wings.

Benitez said: "It is important if you have two players like this. The
understanding between them is good and they are creating chances.

"So maybe you have to give them more opportunities, but in this case Robbie,
Crouch and Luis (Garcia), playing as a second striker, are good options."

Benitez has not picked an unchanged side for 92 matches and he is determined to keep his players as fresh as possible for the challenges ahead.

Liverpool host Galatasaray in the Champions League next Wednesday before
travelling to Bolton the following Saturday.

Benitez added: "You cannot play 60-65 games with the same players. You
cannot play two games a week with the same players because the tempo of
football now is higher than before.

"Two days ago I was watching Arsenal v Liverpool from 1998. It was
    unbelievable the difference in tempo.

"They played well but it was very different. Now the players fly. You need
to think quicker, run quicker, do everything quicker."

    Bellamy and Crouch i reckon.

He'll give Bellamy plenty of time to get a goal in the next few games IMO.

Kuyt (then Crouch) & Fowler for me.

Kuyt doing all the hard work, Robbie doing the smart movement to pull defenders out of position.

Should leave Bellamy & Kuyt (& Crouch) relatively fit for Weds.

I`d like to see Crouch and Kuyt.
We`d be strong in the air, but still have the ability to play on the ground.
We`d lose some speed, but I think other things will compensate for that.
i have no clue if Crouch and Kuyt can play together, but it`s worth a try.

Hope it's not Crouch and Fowler...............Paceless pairing. I'd go with Crouch and Bellamy. Can't see him dropping Kuyt though so it could be another game in the stands for GOD :_(

Hopefully Fowler & Kuyt. But I'm guessing Crouch & Kuyt.

Crouchaldinho and Kuyt with Garcia filling the same role as he did against newcastle.

recon if its Crouch and Kuyt we'll see Pennant on the right.

think this season is Fowler's 4th striker role simailar to pongo

If Rafa thinks Spurs will attack he can play Bellers but if he thinks they'll defend Kuyt and Crouch with wing play
Its times like these we learn to live again FF

Kuyt and Crouch tomorrow I reckon.
Cannot see him leaving out Kuyt just yet!

Reckon they'll be the two upfront on Wednesday night too

I also think that one of Momo or Xabi will not start, especially against a spurs team that looks a little light in midfield. I think Garcia will definitely start, possibly with Gonzalez or Pennant on one of the wings and Stevie playing more centrally.

Kuyt + 1 basically, Crouch is due a run out and it'd be interesting to see how they play together. Garcia has to play too after a much improved performance on Wed.

Turning into a bit of a team against spurs thread!

I'd possibly rest Alonso, or maybe Gerrard - and play Sissoko in the centre with either of them. Garcia has to play on the left, and I'd pick Pennant for the right.

Leaving, for me, Kuyt and Crouch up top.

Might need modding into the right format then?

Bellers and Kuyt. We'll need pace against spurs in my opinion!
