Lucas has the potential to be a first team player. I like Benayoun. I think he'd be first choice if we were playing 4-4-2. He's been a bit unlucky that he doesn't really fit into Rafa's new formation.

why don't people want to give younger players a chance these days, if this was the case owen, macca, fowler, stevie etc would have never played more than 5 games before being mooooooved on.

It's not that we're not giving them a chance, but playing them together like Lucas + Plessis are is not a great idea. Last week Lucas had a solid game alongside Mascher. Were it Plessis + Mascher would probably be a similar situation today. But we're lacking that injection of pace and hussle that Mascher brings and Lucas and Plessis lack guidance and leadership in the middle.

Pennant drives forward, wins a free-kick and a booking for Murphy. Final chance of the half, we will fling it into the box.

Harsh on Lucas and Benayoun. They haven't done much wrong. Yossi is a good squad player who has scored some important goals for us this season and Lucas is a talented young player who has shown his potential in glimpses this season.

Doesn't matter how much talent or lack of they have at present, we just don't look like a team out there. It's awful stuff. Sort it Rafa, use your tactical Genius & sort it ffs, we need this point to get 4th done & dusted, or we go into Wed's with a bad bad result & Neverton ringing in our ears.

Ps, if we lose & Neverton lose, with less games left to play would it give us 4th.
