FAO New York/US Reds ~ pls help...

    Hi,

My mate is going to New York tomorrow, and wants to catch the Liverpool Chelsea game.

Any of you know of any bars in Manhattan which will be screening the match?

    Cheers

Watch it in the 11st Bar mate... Full of Reds. I had the same dilemma as you last week as I was in NYC and really didn't want to watch it in a bar with a bunch of Chavs (good job as I'd have probably stoved someone's head in after the Riise debacle).

I would say get there about 30 mins before kick off as the bar was rammed. kick off will be 2:45pm local time.

            Enjoy the game and NYC
They've won the league, bigger stars than Dallas, they've got more silver than Buckhingham Palace, no one knows quite what to expect, when the Red Machine's in full effect!

I watched the first Arsenal leg at a bar near Penn Station - I can't remember what it was called though, so heh, pointless post.

ESPN Zone had a good crowd, get some buffalo wings in as well!

The 11st street bar (already mentioned) will defo have it on - it's a Liverpool supporters bar.

I will be ducking out of work to watch it in Becky's (63rd street and 1st Ave)

Nevada Smiths is the accepted Man U bar in NY, whereas the 11th St Bar is very much the Liverpool bar.

I had the happy experience of being in NY last year and went under suffrance to Nevada Smiths with a Manc mate of mine to watch them get absolutely battered 3-0 by AC Milan. 90% of those present were Manc fans with a smattering of Italians there too. Happy days!

These two are the best bars to watch in. As above, 11th street is a Liverpool bar, Nevada's in a scum bar.

True enough, was full of mancs when I went there for a match but went there another time to kick off a night out and had a great time.

If I'd known there was a proper LFC bar I obviously wouldn't have given nevada smiths the time of day
