You can say what you want but his short passing this season for barca has been atrocious. He has wasted so many chances with passes that almost equal luis Garcia's!

whether its because of the quality of player we are signing or how we look to play i dont know. i can't believe rafa would want a player who can't pass or control the ball well tho.

its the difference between us and the teams above us. dare i say it even spurs know how to move a ball around a pitch with more accuracy and control than we do.

The awareness, vision, creativity of our players is shocking. I can only see Benayoun, Gerrard, Babel, Torres, Alonso keeping the ball and moving it forward instead of checking backwards and waiting for more players to come forward.

This is something that frustrates me in that either we pass badly, or we can't seem to find decisive passes (not necessarily long passes), especially to get in behind defences. We attack head on instead of making them turn back.

Our short passing game is not as effective as it has been in the past in areas where it matters, I see Alonso trying to make longer passes which half the time dont come off.

An improvement in the passing of the team can only be gained as a result of bringing in creative players to complement the direct nature of players such as Torres and Babel.

I think we have a real problem with players who are comfortable on the ball in the final third. I said this after the Arsenal game as the contrast was huge, all their players wanted the ball in and around our box, they were happy to have the ball at their feet and take a few touches (all of which the ball was under control) Where as at the other end our players didn't seem to want the ball and their touches were almost clumsy, only Gerrard, Torres and maybe Babel are happy with the ball at their feet in those areas of the pitch.
