    And you think you're upset...

    From the official site:

Benitez also revealed that Harry Kewell was back in training after recovering from the groin strain he sustained on international duty last month.

"Kewell was training today, which is positive," said Benitez.

Having gotten himself fit for his usual European Cup final cameo, Harry must be kicking himself: all that effort for nothing.

I would love to see Harry Kewell play at least one more time before he leaves. A sad victim of genuine bad luck. YNWA.

I tend to agree. No doubt he has been a big disappointment for us, but some of the vitriol aimed at him would suggest he deliberately gets injured.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the darkness at Tannhäuser Gate.

Get him out the club. ASAP. Offers absolutely nothing, except being a drain on the wage budget.

He wants to see Kewell leave Melwood on two feet, not on crutches. It costs Hicks too much money to buy new crutches after Kewell has collected all of them at home.

If Kewell stayed fit, took a HUGE pay cut, i wouldn't mind him staying. The staying fit bit is a gamble obviously, but we've paid for him so lets try & get something out of what we all know is a player who had talent.

If he is willing to take that MASSIVE pay cut rather than make a few more quid going on free to a team that will pay him a signing on fee & better wages, then that's shows a loyalty to the club, & a willingness to give something back. We'll see.

I hope Harry Kewell realises that not all Liverpool fans believe he has deliberately injured himself over the past few seasons and selfishly collected his wages whilst off work sick.

I am sure those who are critical of him would do the 'honourable' thing and not collect their pay if, God forbid, they were injured at work and had to be off work for a long time.

Good luck Harry Kewell. Hope he can save the rest of his career.

I can't see anyone offerrinmg him massive wages. It's been too long since he played. He's become an unknown quantity and a liability as you'll still be paying wages when he's off sick again.

I've never had a job with the opportunity to take 3 years paid sick in 4 years work

They'd whang you off on the invalidity after a few months if they were being generous.

Still don't blame Kewell but, hardly his fault his body is made of paper mache and matchsticks stuck together with flour and water glue.
