See I'm not so sure. Arsenal are losing key players and it seems their wage structure is going to prevent them bringing in true quality. They should struggle next year.

Again I'm not so sure about Chelsea, I think they have been running on the fumes of the machine that Mourinho built. You only have to look at the tactics Grant employed in the carling final and how he has singularly failed to get the best out of Anelka, to see that he is the weakest of the top 4 managers.

I just hope we can improve enough to take advantage of these chinks.

I posted in another thread the whole conversation but the youth coach told me tonight that he didnt think any one of these kids could make the grade (just passing this along) Adravejic looks like Paddy, is tall and played defensive midfield tonight. Wasnt great and 1 friendly game is obviously not a reflection of someones talent but a tall, lanky defensive midfielder who wont tackle hard seems a bit odd

Man U and Chelsea will buy players, but they are already at a very high level and the question is how much can it improve them. For example Chelsea bought Sheva and Ballack and they didn't make much of difference. I know in terms of squad depth it makes a difference, but overall Chelsea were better with Roben and Duff. I think 2 quality players will make a bigger difference to us than it would to the other 2.

Rafa is currently in the black on players he has bought and sold. LFC still pays Le Tallec a wage. Yep, he took the option of a year on top of the five we have already paid him. 6 years he got from Parry/Houllier.

If you want to have a go at Harry, surely this bloke has been more disappointing.

to be fait to Le Tallec he hasn't exactly had a hatful of chances since Rafa came in has he? It's sad the way he and Pongo were wasted, there was genuine potential there.

And unlike Kewell he isn't the third highest earner in the squad.
