I was saying that some time ago. If you compare the goals scored by Nando with those of Ronaldo, he is by far the better striker. Ronaldo scores a lot via penos and free kicks, whereas Nando never ever takes them !

Just look at the face: it's vacant, with a hint of sadness. Like a drunk who's lost a bet.

To be fair, Ronaldo has started quite a few games on the wing, even though he is in a free role as such.

On a side note, how often do you see Ronaldo cross the ball in from the by-line?

Both class players, though one of them is a winker.

Also shows how well Santa Cruz has done too, for 3 million he was a steal.

                        From today's Echo:

                        Red assists -

                        23 Steven Gerrard

                        11 Dirk Kuyt

8 Fernando Torres, Ryan Babel, Jermaine Pennant

                        7 Peter Crouch, Yossi Benayoun

5 Andriy Voronin, John Arne Riise

                        4 Harry Kewell

                        3 Javier Mascherano, Lucas Leiva

2 Alvaro Arbeloa, Sami Hyypia, Steve Finnan, Jamie Carragher, Fabio Aurelio

1 Sebastian Leto, Xabi Alonso, Pepe Reina

                        10 unassisted
Not sure where Kewell's 4 are meant to have come from though.

Interesting (and slightly depressing) that Xabi is currently level with Reina and Leto.

Have to admit I'd trust the Echo over Soccernet.

Either way it's a bloody amazing feat

Soccernet as well as premierleague website has Lucas assists in the league as 5.
