    Sammy Lee - talks

Although a new no2 for Rafa has'nt been announced it looks like it could well be Sami, i see a picture of him at Melwood on Thursday looking like he's already part of the team again.

I for one think this will be great news, as we know he's a spanish speaker, which is a plus, & can only add to Torres learing of the language & the Liverpool way generally. But apart from that he's Sami Lee, Liverpool through & through & a legend.

The news he will be working for Liverpool again can only be good imo.

    hopefully
"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

Yep nobody knows Liverpool better than Sammy. He's at every single game even when he isn't employed

Bringing in a number 2 is a must.

I still believe Paco's departure hurt us initally this season. The absence of a number 2 left Rafa in a period of adaptation and it coincided with an awful lot of our draws that cost us a shout at the title in the end. Sammy is the perfect fit. I think rafa has wanted him since he got the chop at Bolton and I wouldn't at all be surprised if Rafa had encouraged alex Miller to take the japanese job in order to free up a space on the coaching staff.
          Dare we believe

                Torres can't speak Spanish!
"I'm sorry you'll have to speak up I'm wearing a towel".

In that interview with Pepe/Torres/Arbeloa and Souness/Kenny etc Sammy Lee talks to the spanish lads in spanish (translating Souness mostly I think ) so i'm pretty sure he's fluent

also from another forum and the beeb:

'Sammy is a good coach, bad manager, and speaks fluent Spanish.'

'Sammy Lee, a fluent Spanish speaker from his time spent playing at Osasuna, could be found a role in the new set-up.'

Not sure I agree with the bad manager bit, but there you go

Some Coaches are just not cut out for Management. Sammy has never really came across as a dominating, controlling figure. So i didnt really expect him to last long in the Bolton job.

But he is well respected throughout england as being one of the best coaches around. He knows how to teach players attacking football, the old school liverpool way.

Think the comparisons with McLaren and Kidd are a bit harsh. At least Sammy tried to get Bolton playing football.

                              I hope he comes back.

Edit: Not saying YOU made a comparison with either of those two clowns but it's one that's been bandied about.
