    LFC Goal of the season..

Just seen Ben's thread, but after 119 goals I reckon this deserves a bit more thought...

Far be it for me to name the winner - after 119 goals I'm bound to have forgotten a few classics - but how about we suggest some nominations in this thread and then have another thread to vote on a top 3.

    I've got a few suggestions:

    1) Gerrard Free-kick, first game of the season vs Villa - Ronaldo's free-kicks have had all the glory, but that for me was just about the perfect free-kick. Up and over the wall, dipped below the bar in the top corner. Unsavable.

    2) Babel vs Derby - Dunno why, but I love this goal. Sells 2 players, the goalkeeper, half the crowd and the cameramen an outrageous dummy before slotting home. Fantastic.

    3) Torres vs Inter (I think) - Coasts past about 2-3 players before sticking it past the keeper. If it wasn't so seemingly easy for him, we'd be salivating over it. Almost poetic in its perfection.

There you go. Bound to have missed several brilliant goals, but these ones spring to mind. Anyone think of any others....

Torres vs. Marseille. Easily the best. Love the picture of him with 5-6 defenders around him all of which he walked past.

The best one is the number 4, who gets skinned by Torres, and then puts his arm up to appeal...

Appeal for what, i dont know...but he sure did appeal!

            erm alot to choose from..

Torres VS Arsenal..he just knew where the goal was, and he slotted brilliantly into the top bin.

Mascherano's where he weaved and smashed it in

            Gerrards free-kick against Villa

            Gerrards screamer against West Ham

alot of class goals scored this season!

              Torres v Boro (a) - screamer

Babel v Newcastle (a) - superb team move, great finish

Torres v Newcastle (h) - links up with Gerrard brilliantly and 'does a Pele' (sort of) to waltz round Harper and slot home

Torres v Derby (a) - another delightful solo goal as Nando glides and ghosts past several defenders and finishes, as usual, with aplomb

              Aurelio v Bolton (a) - chest and volley...mmmmmm.....nice

Too many to pick, apart from the ones mentioned, the one against Fulham (i think) where Pepe kicks it to Torres' chest, controls, spins, cuts in, nutmegs the defender to slot it with his left foot.

                        Shows that

                        a) Pepe's distribution is second to none
                        b) Torres is ****ing magic. Anywhere in the area and you should be ****ting your pants (if you're a defender). He can take it past you and your 5 defending mates(either way), kick it through you, chip the keeper, dummy the keeper, nutmeg the keeper, left foot, right foot, slot it, **** it, head it, bit of skill maybe. Riise?

Seriously, Torres against Arsenal gets my vote even above the Marseille one.

No-one else will pick this, but Torres v Porto (second one) for personal reasons.

My Granddad (the reason why I support Liverpool) had died the day before, and I went to the game with my dad (his son). Nando got the ball from Kewell, somehow ran in between two defenders and tucked it in the corner to make it 2-1 with about 10 mins to go. It was one of those special LFC moments.
Dreams come true. Without that possibility, nature would not incite us to have them.

What about Babel's flick in the CL I think?

My Dad always goes on about that goal
