so do you think James would have as many clean sheets as Pepe if he were playing? i for one don't, i think pepe is as important part of our defense as carra, when he's missing you see the difference. i also think that if you would put pepe in the same situation james is in or given he'd prove his worth. golden gloves 3 years running is fantastic and he's the best keeper in the prem imo..

Missing the point mate. Your point is one, but i was making a different one.

It's too late and i'm too tired to go over it now, but i may do tomorrow.

That's always the way when you play for the top teams. They generally have good defenses. The keeper sometimes doesn't have alolt to do in some games but may need to make 1 or 2 crucial saves in 90 mins.

The concentration levels of a goalkeeper is a huge part of their game.Reina seems very focused all the time.We all know about James's concentration.James has always been a great shot stopper. No one would argue with that.Sometimes a bit clumsy, and sometimes seems to make a crazy decision.A rush of blood some would say.

I feel more comfortable with Reina in goal.Theres only one other goalkeeper i would feel equally comfortable in goal for us and thats Cech.

Evra's stats for an attacking full back are quite surprising, in the team which scored the most goals in the Premiership he got only one assist and no goals. Lescott got 8 goals and two assists, whislt Clichy chipped in with 5 assists and no goals.

Shorey for Reading had a phenomenal 10 assists and three goals. The same amount of assists and more goals than every single member of our defence combined. United had the meanest defence; however, their backline only provided 6 assists and four goals.

But all of Lescotts goals are surely from corners or free kicks?? Don't think he scored from an open play, which is what should count in that matter...

But I would go with Clichy being the best at the moment in his position.

I dont disagree, but there's also a case for arguing that a goalkeeper who has more to do on a regular basis, and generally does it well, has also had a superb season.

Mascher needs to improve his passing for me. Doesn't pass like a £17m player, but tackles like one though

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

                          Read properly.

The point was that they could of easily gone for the top 4 teams for players.Change skrtel for Carra if it would make you feel better!

It's worth mentioning that Reina never ever gets recognition in these lists.

Despite getting the golden glove for most clean sheets three years running he has missed out on the PFA team of the year every time for James, Van Der Saar and Given.

Surely after three golden gloves he should have made at least one team of the year?

People don't rate him because they always slog home the 'he's a bit dodgy with crosses' argument. Much like rotation and zonal defending, on the whole it's complete dog****. I don't care if he doesn't get recognition despite the GG awards, more fool idiots like Gray etc.

We allowed the least shots on target this season incidentally. As long as we love Reina who cares, we all know how valuable he is
