You have to suspect thought that at least in part it is being built because of G&H or at least the changes they instigated to the commercial department.

Wouldn't it have been more appropriate somewhere more central like London for example ?

They've been around for just over a year. What's the lead time on opening a new store, including contractual negotiations with developers, design, fitting, etc?
                .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

That's pretty much what I was thinking. The decisions would have been taken very soon after the Americans arrived when they still had some money, may have had some long-term plans for the club, wanted to be seen to be good owners and were still talking to each other.

As a sign of things to come under the current regime, this initiative, if it is of any worth at all (something about which I'm far from convinced), only shows what might have been.

Thats a fair point I was merely pointing out that we wouldn't have done it before they arrived. I think that they have made strides in improving our commercial arm and we didn't appoint the new team for several months after the takeover IIRC which I would think contributed to the delay.

I'm not saying that G&H are great owners (far from it) just that they should get the credit for the things they do right as much as they deserve the blame for the many things they have ****ed up.

I want Hicks to buy out Gillet today and annouce he's here for the long term. Lets put an end to all this bollocks and start the season fresh.

Oh and I grew out of buying club shirts in my early twenties, just don't see the appeal for grown men to all be wearing the same clothes. we're not sheep.

I think its stupid having two stores in one city center, although the que for the one in Williamson Sq on a match day and before is ridiculous. I hope the chill out zone sells beer.

Sure, I agree of course. I just think their period of "doing right" is pretty much over.
