    Apply to become Liverpool Manager!!

    From the offal.

    Well, why not:

Applications are being invited for the vacant position to become team manager of Liverpool FC Ladies.
The girls play in the National Women's Premier League and are one of the top 10 teams in the country.

The club's committee is looking for a top-class manager who holds a UEFA A licence, is committed, dynamic, forward thinking and capable of working within a team to take the club forward.

This role requires someone who has strong knowledge of the women's game at this level and the successful candidate would have to demonstrate that they have the ability to put together a first-class coaching and managerial set up.

Those wishing to apply should send a CV together with a covering letter outlining their experience and suitability for the role to: Colin Charlton 146B Oxford Rd, Macclesfield, Cheshire. SK11 8JY. Email: [email protected]

Closing date for applications is Friday, 13 June 2008.

May struggle with getting an UEFA A licence - criteria seems strict!!

The best analogy for the 'A' license is that it is your degree, a bit like getting an MBA in coaching. It makes you very employable. It is a two-year commitment, tailored to professionals in the game. You can only get it by working with a national FA. It is divided into two parts, based around two-week summer sessions held twice at the national centre in Lilleshall, with distance learning and support sessions the rest of the year. It operates on a pass-fail basis.

I would love to do that. Maybe one day.

Ha, this thread just reminded me when that letter did the rounds on the internet a couple of years ago, from the guy who applied for the Middlesbrough job quoting his experience of champ manager.
