Thanjk you.

i have to admit rash mate, your like a dog with a bone when you think up your new gripe.
do you not get pissed off banging the same drum all the time though?
You two scousers are always yapping,I'm gonna show you some serious rapping.
I come from Jamaica,my name is John Barnes,When I do my thing the crowd go bananas.
I'm interested to know which £15m players you think we needed in the last couple of seasons. Which of them wanted to play for us and which of their clubs would have agreed to the transfers.
Not having a pop Rashid but it's easier to discuss real situations rather than hypothetical ones.
The Mancs haven't spent less? What are you on about?
2 years ago they sold Nistellroy and bought Carrick - then won the league... last summer Fregie bought Anderson, Nani, Hargreaves and Kszciak for £51m plus a £6m loan fee for Carlos Tevez.
They also sold Heinze, Smith, Rossi and Richardson for about £25m. I am not that good at maths but that works out at £32m NET - much less than ours.
Net spends don't mean ****. They're buying a different class of player at £15m+ all the time. Plus he's got former Mancs paying him **** loads for average players like Richardson
Everyone keeps saying we spend **** all, we have no money, Rafa's hands are tied.. how about this lot for the past year then?
£71.1m spent in the past year - that is not pauper money is it? We sold Garcia, Cisse, Bellamy, Gonzalez, Palleta, Sissoko for a combined £30m giving us a net of £41m this past year. Obviously some dispute the Mascheranoo figure but both Rafa and Kia have mentioned £17m as the fee so the chinese whispers of "including wages" are just that.
All pedantics anyway, that's a lot of money right there.
Rash, you need to get out lad. You've been making pretty much the same post for about 3 years now.

Why just consider the last 2 years. Look at the state of the club when he walked in. For the first two years he had to do a Harry Redknapp style wheeling and dealing to ensure that he got in players who looked like footballers. Look at the squad of Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal when he walked in. Two of them had experienced managers with a ruthlessly efficient structure in place from top to bottom. When your comparing against Man U remember that they had a very efficient base to start from.
It has taken Rafa 4 years to build that base. Of course in hindsight he could have done better. But I think given the resources he had he has done a good job. In fact an excellent job.
Let us not just compare numbers spent in the last 2 years. Take into account the status of the squads of his competitors when he walked in. Make sure you account for that in the numbers calculation. You will find that Rafa has done a wonderful job.

We finished 1 point behind the Mancs 2 years ago and spent more since then only for them to pull away and us to be further behind.
Rafa has spent more NET and GROSS than Fergie and Wenger these past 4 years. He inherited a 4th place team, where did we finish after all this money has been spent? 4th.

When we finished one point behind the Mancs, Rafa had stretched the potential of the squad. We absolutely maxxed it out to finish within one point of the Mancs. Rafa realised it and thats why he is overhauling that team itself.
Whereas ManU were laying the foundations of another young and great team which was slowly finding his feet. The ground work for that team had been laid around the time and slightly before Rafa's time. Rooney for 25 million, Ronaldo for 12 million, Ferdinand for 25 - 30 million. Add to that the base of Scholes , Giggs, Van nistelroy. A base which ensured that they would never finish outside the top 4. Then Ronaldo starting playing in a higher gear.
Around the same time they were making great money from they youngsters from a well functioning youth setup.
Yeah Rafa could have done better. Maybe he should have bought berbatov instead of Morientes. He has taken his time in getting to know the EPL. But I think considering the task in front of him, he has done a brilliant job. And he has done this more or less fighting against three managerial greats.
Try looking at the bigger picture, condition of the clubs from top to bottom the condition of the squad before making an assessment instead of purely looking at numbers.
so the thread is really about how much of a **** job rafa is doing then rash, why not be honest and just say that?
