    Stevie G...

...I would just like to say despite Torres' great season, 21 goals & 23 assists for a midfielder is just ridiculous! And not only that, the countless amount of tackles & interceptions. The ONLY player who can play ANY position on the park. **** Ronaldo, **** Kaka, **** Messi - Stevie G is the BEST player on the planet end of!
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

I have to say Torres has been the long awaited breath of freshair. But Stevie Gerrard is is still the ultimate footballer.I'm just glad,as he probably is aswell, that some of the pressure has been taken off his shoulders.

Kinda makes a mockery of the criticism he got during different stages of the season about him not making the impact he previously had

As Kop Al says, great to have someone else to take the pressure off his shoulders and would love if we could add another couple of big players which would 1) lessen the burden of Gerrard & Torres and 2) give the opponents something serious to think about

I think he has been freed up in many respects, Torres has alleviated the "star" burden, while the two holding midfielders free him up from his defensive duties allowing him to destroy the opposition.

I feel this position was tailor made for him, and considering (incredibly) it's still a relatively new position for him, I expect him to only improve in the coming seasons.

                  He has to.

I feel against the top sides with intelligent defences and managers, Gerrard seems to go missing. He loses everything Rafa says and does silly things that he shouldn't i.e. he goes deep to collect the ball and leaves Torres isolated. In that position, he needs to be more selective with his running and passing. This is where we see the real intelligent players. At times, Gerrard is playing with too much heart, which isn't a bad thing however it makes you lose everything that was said by the manager beforehand. Hopefully, in the summer, Rafa works with him and gets him to learn how to play like Aimar or Kaka in that role.

To be fair he was playing in such an advanced position I wouldn't call it midfield Also, end of he's not the best player on the planet.
