I must say SG impressed me second half. Rooney was piss poor as were half the team, that wasn't my point. Stevie is easily England's best player.

Somewhat lacking IMO. Best player on the park, let's get one thing straight, he's the best player on the park. However, if you look at Rooney & Lampard, they bring others into the side far more frequently, and not just at international level. That shot on the turn was silly. He already gets a lot of assists, but (and i know this sounds silly) whilst his end product (assists and goals) is second to none his play before that stage is somewhat lacking.
