Goal of the season?

Having watching the BBC's goals of the season last night I noticed that there were no LFC goals...surely not! Some of Torres' goals were stunning. Which LFC goals should have been included?

Yes his first against Chelsea was good but then I don't remember him scoring an average goal! Can't believe the Beeb didn't include any of his goals!

Agree that Torres can't score tap-ins. Each of his goals was different this year, but all stunning.

for me. Torres scores a lot of great goals, but not the kind of spectacular strikes from outside the box that tend to win GOTS awards.

Torres' goal against Newcastle was pure class, that should have been there both for interplay and the finish.

I think in truth if the list had been top 20, we'd have dominated it. We had a lot of really good goals, but not a top goal of the season type goal. Anyone else think this years list was particularly poor. There was two free kicks in it ffs. It has to be something out of the ordinary or a great team goal, things like N'Zogbia's are nice goals, but goal of the season - give me a break.

I think what they have done is to put forward all of the goals of the month to their goal of season competition. I noticed that one of ronaldos blockbuster free kick goals was excluded which surprised me. A Torres goal obviously never won a goal of the month.

All Torres' goals have been technical, footballing goals. They don't look as spectacular to the average match of the day dickhead than a 35-yard belter so they are dismissed out of hand. But if you ask a footballer which goal was better: Torres' vs Newcastle or Ronaldo's FK then I would think most would say Torres' for the fact that it was so intentional and brilliantly disguised. Ronaldo just ****ted the ball on the valve.

If martins' half volley against us had of gone in that would definately have been my choice. I agrre am dissappointed that none of our goals got into it. I thought we scored some really good goals this year through Torres, Gerrard and Babel etc. Think some of them deserved to be in the top 10!!
