I'd rather we had a genuine winger playing in that position, but Kuyt has the attitude and mentality of a true Liverpool player, and offers far more to the side than most people seem to want to see.

If he continues the upturn in form shown towards the end of last season, I really think in time Dirk could become something of a legend at the club.

I watched Bently play for England and thought Pennant deserves a shot at RW for England.Bently was gash.
As for Kuyt,he`s a good stop gap,might be even better on the right now he`s over his fathers death but someday I hope we`ll sign a Ronaldo type winger(Ie,goal scorer) soon.

Xabi is the better player, he just needs to be allowed to refind his form.

But that's an endless argument around here and I don't think agreement will ever be reached

mascha will sit just infront of the back 4 and barry will push forward more,this will free up gerrard for an even more attacking role,imo when xabi plays to be effective in the prem he needs to get forward,he dosnt have the time to sit,that is not to say he isnt class but just my opinon,barry would give us more attacking options than the odd killer pass from xabi,if xabi and mascha play in the starting 11 in the formation raffa used in the run in there is just no link up from the center mids to the forwards cause they are both sat 2 deep,witch inturn makes stevie start diffiting back to the middle to pick up balls and with torres up on his own it makes no sense and unless there is that pinpoint pass witch we all no we can do consistantly its makes breaking down teams hard....

raffa obivously rates mascha as the better DM witch is why xabi didnt play asmuch so unfortunatly with 2 youngsters comeing through and mascha gettin better with each game then raffa has imo made the right choice if xabi is sold...iam fed up with us haveing a storming side in europe but fail to break teams like birmingham and loseing to reading away in the prem with virtually the same team,raffa now nos this and is fixing the problem and unfortunately xabi is the casualtie

With the attacking width coming from the full-backs plus it's now 7 subs so plenty of options on the bench

any 7 from Kuyt, Babbel, Nemeth, Lucas, Benayoun, Hyypia, Skrtel, Arbeloa, Insua etc..plus a keeper obviously
