Walcott hasn't yet justified the hype, but he has shown glimpses that suggest that he might still have it in him to be a major star. Bale started quite well but was then injured.

Don't get me wrong I think Walcott will be a good signing for Arsenal, I just think that if we were to sign a player for that sort of fee we'd want a return straight away, not in a few years down the line, there's nothing wrong with building for the future but that sort of fee could improve the team now
