    Rafa's New Hat

Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez has picked up an honourary degree in his old stomping ground of Valencia. And just like some UK universities, he was made to wear a daft outfit for the ceremony.

Benitez was granted with an Honoris Causa Degree by Jesus Rodriguez Marin, Miguel Hernandez University's vice-chancellor in Elche, eastern Spain. And the 48-year-old former Valencia and Tenerife head coach looked pleased as punch at his award.

While he was there of course the press was onto him.

This is him mainly talking about how promising Valencia's new coach Unai Emery is and that they have a good squad but right at the end he said that Alonso isn't going to Juve. Pretty interesting, the legitimacy of his word could be questionable though. So maybe Alonso will stay!

Best new I've heard all day.

Xabi should at least be kept until after the championships, I think he's gonna have a blinder. At least then we'll have time to see how he's recovered from his injuries with a run of games, and would allow Mascherano more time to think about his Olympics decision.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
