Very true Glove. I don't care how much cash Utd get for Ronaldo, you can't replace that creatvity and vast goalscoring potential easily in 1 player. And if they have to buy more than one with his proceeds, it won't be easy to maintain the ooutput of both, without upsetting the balance of the team.

Well this is it, who could they get? There isnt anyone better (sadly) so they'd need a few players and they cant all play at once. Without him, they wouldve struggled to win the league this year.

Chelsea would struggle to get a centre forward of Drogbas calibre straight off regardless of money as well, its very rare someone comes in and is an instant goal machine. Torres, van Nistelrooy are the only standard they'd need and they aint gettin Torres while horsey is past that kind of form.

Honestly, take them 2 and possibly if fat frank or a couple of other Mourinho lovers ****ed off then United and Chelsea would be vunerable and we could be there to take up the challenge.

Wee need 2 of 3 players imho to make our 1st 11 into a title-competing one:

Capel
Ronaldinho
Villa

Get 2 of those 3 and keep most of the 1st 11 fit and we'll be in with a real shout. Given our financial status right now I'd go for Capel and REonaldinho, both of whom seem ripe for a move, and, it would seem, be willing to come to England. £24m for the pair of them.

Im not convinced we are 2 or 3 players short. We are if the main 2 keep their teams and buy more but not if they flog off their main threats. Last seaosn we came close and lets face it, we had a ****e season at home. Its was within us last season so there is noreason to expect it wont be next season.
