What a joke. We are arguably the 2nd biggest suported club in England, the 3rd/4th biggest supported club in the world. Yet we are peasants. Talk of stadium sharing or whatever - it won't happen because we ould probably not even afford our half. Benitez, whatever his faults (and they are abundant) shouldn't have to penny pinch. What due diligence was undertaken when Moores haned over the reigns to these two peasants? People slag Man City, but I think we'd have won the league with that sort of backing at this stage. No sign of a stadium, no real cash available to address the undoubted crisis that is happening to our club at the moment - Van Nistelrooy and Vieira - Jesus wept. Look where we were in the 70s/80s and where we are now. We are peasants. It should never have happened, but it is. I just cannot see a way out of this. Arsenal generate 1 million every match day. Not sure what our equivalent is but we are going nowhere fast.

Tom Hicks:No shared stadium

It is sickening that like has been said we are the 4th or 5th biggest supported club in the world yet we are "peasants". Our club has been mismanaged since 1992 so almost 20 years has took its toll.
I still dont think a shared stadium will happen as Hicks and gillett want full control of the club which is evident in their search for investment as they want someone to bankroll us but with them still pulling the strings. Plus if i remember right the last time liverpool and everton sat down to discuss this it ended up with the bitters wanting us to build it with them paying rent with the right to convert to 50% ownership when it suited them. As a result they were thrown out of the meeting, with Wyness & Kenwright being branded amateur & unprofessional. With Liverpool refusing to deal with them again.Last edited by Leyton388; 29-11-09, 03:57 AM.
