I saw that and nearly choked on my banana.

It just cannot be right. They can wheel out as many stats as they like, but it's no substitute for using your eyes. Dirk has qualities but pace never has been and never will be one of them.

I think maybe he covered one yard quicker than anyone else at one point.

Tell me about it - absolutely shocked, however once into his running he has to be quick there really cannot be any other explanation! Over 29 kmph is bloody fast!

Dirk gets over the top bashing in here, undeserved imo. He's got much more qualities (other than hard work and other bollocks stuff I read). His touch is good, awareness top class. In view of his position on the pitch, we can't expect him to be a goalscoring machine.
