Whenever we sign a player we always want more information about that player's qualities. For instance when we signed degen from dortmund I scoured the net for something positive about him and got a couple of bits here and there.
Now it appears if Roma have signed 2 of our players in riise and kewell and this was my own way of saying goodbye to them both. So if any Roma fans are scouring the net for information on kewell and riise this is the place to be.
John Arne Riise
Its a shame to see him go really because we will miss several things about him
- his high energy down the left
- a willingness to get forward
- good overall physical presence in the side and doesnt shirk challenges
- not bad defensively
- the odd thunderbolt goal
On the other hand these are his bad points
- A one footed player as you are ever likely to see
- his left foot (his good one) is probably about as good as most people's swinger
- His right foot we still dont know what it does
- His shocking decision making at times
- His obvious follicle problem
On the whole he should do ok at Roma
Harry Kewell
Some of our younger supporters may not actually know what harry kewell does as he's been unable to play for so long so here's a quick reminder for us as well as Roma fans scouring the net for info on their new exciting signings.
Positive
- he has undoubted talent and his left foot is as good as any out there
- on his day he can single handedly win matches and can penetrate even the tightest of defences
- Will score between 10 - 15 goals a season and get as many assists
- Gets forward and backward
Negative
- His groin, his left ankle, his thigh, his big toe - due the data protection act we are not allowed to disclose anything further.
- His high unwarranted wages
- His reluctance to play games until he is 100% fit
- His god given ability to wonder about the pitch without actually doing anything.
Overall I would say that if they kept Harry kewell fit it could be the difference between finishing first and second. Unfortunately, at Liverpool we have been unable to do that and with the money spent on his multitude of operations and general consultations merseyside now boasts the best hospitals in the UK that are the envy of the world - including Italy.
