LFC TV presenter Claire Rourke will this weekend be joining thousands of women nationwide in a bid to raise money for Cancer Research UK - and she wants your support.
Claire will be taking part in the 5 kilometre 'Race for Life 2008' in Aintree on Saturday and is appealing to all Liverpool supporters to help her raise as much money as possible for charity.
"This is a cause close to my heart, just as it is to many other peoples," she said. "The majority of us know somebody who has been affected by cancer and it's important we raise as much money as possible in our battle against it.
I've been in training for the race over the last few weeks and so I'm sure I'll finish the course - but I may be walking and not running for part of the way!
"I just want to ask the fans for any support they can give me. Every penny would be very much appreciated." The title is a stupid, the issue is serious. I'm sorry if anyone is offended.
