    Francisco Duran

When we signed him from Malaga he had already made a few first team appearances and there was a lot of excitement about his potential. (I think Arsenal were also after him at the time).

He arrived the same time as Arbeloa, but since joining us he has suffered terribly from injuries. Apparently he should be fit again, either now or very soon. Hopefully he will get a consistent run out in the reserves and we will see him a few times in the first team. He's 20 years old and Gary Ablett rates him as one to watch.

I'm looking forward to see if he can make an impact.

we seem to have a shed load of promising youngsters, but we never see or hear anything about them- fowler () and owen were in the 1st team at 17- and scoring regularly

A very neat and technical touch player, by all accounts - in the mould of Spain's midfield players, such as Iniesta.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Duran played a couple of games was injured for about 7 months, played a few more games then picked up the same injury, so he's been incredibly unlucky.

I'd love an Iniesta type at Liverpool; what a player

Been a fan of his since he first broke through into the Barca team. Very versatile player too.

He is a joy to watch on the ball, and I think he's wasted out wide; play him through the centre in a slightly advanced role and his creativity would open up the meanest defence.

In Duran, Pacheco (sp?) and Nemeth we have a trio of very talented youngsters who really could have a shot at the first team in the next couple of years. As long as people don't expect too much too soon and are prepared to give them time to develop that is.

I think they all need games. Hopefully this year or next we will get to loan them out. If players don't develop as quickly as someone like Fabregas there is a danger that they stagnate at a big team with no competitive football. There is no easy solution but some sort of 'finishing school' is needed IMO.

Who also can be very annoying, if he could only pass the ball at the right time instead of holding onto it he would be a much better player, I lost count of the number of times for Spain he kept a hold of the ball too long and lost it or passed too late, I think it comes from the Barca way of trying to walk the ball into the net.

and from the fact that he has no left foot to speak of.

(Still wouldn't mind him at Anfield though).

Could we have a reserves to watch area of the forum much like the 'Previous Liverpool players' area?

                              I think Rafa would too.
