    David Silva

    Is it just me or does anyone else think that he is overrated, I can't honestly see how he is any better than Luis Garcia, he doesn't offer anything more physically and in terms of a goal threat.

    I've seen him in about ten games for Valencia and all of Spain's games in Euro 2008 and have seen nothing to convince me he is any better than Luis, if anything I'd prefer Garcia.

    think hes a good player mate, does a lot of back tracking, and works extremly hard all over the pitch. think he would be a quality addition

      I have to admit that I wouldn't be too keen to see him in an LFC shirt. He does work really hard all over the pitch, but the issue is whether he would be effective in the EPL, especially against the second, third and fourth best teams. And my feeling is that his size would work against him; as would his final ball.

        Like him as a player myself, bit lightweight, but only as far as the Prem is concerned, would like to see him play for us but my worry would be the price we would pay for a player i'm not sure would suit the Premiership. But i guess that's a chance you take with this type of player.

          Silva = Garcia

          We'd know what we're getting and what to expect. I'd try bring Luis back before I signed him. Wouldn't be hard to get Garica off the bench of Madrid and would be a lot cheaper.

            Good player but wildly overrated on the forums IMO.

                Luis wanted to leave as his wife was homesick. Why, then, would he return?

                  Decent enough in the Euros, but let's face it, it was hardly a tournament for defenders now was it..? Not entirely convinced he could do similar things against the likes of Rio, Terry & Gallas..?!? RK on the other hand as we all know, has on several previous occasions, and would continue to do so at Anfield.

                    Rafa wouldn't take him back anyway.

                    He was becoming a bit part player in his final months with the club.

                      Quality player imo i think he would score goals and he has a great eye for defence splitting passes

                        What like Benayoun has been all season? Think you're wrong on that one, imo Rafa wouldn't have sold him if he didn't want to leave and may well take him back if he showed willing and the price was right

                          He was injured for the majority of his last season

                          He was playing regularly on either side of midfield before he got himself crocked.

                            When Luis left, Rafa mentioned it was because Luis wanted first team football. I interpreted that in the same way as Marky.

                              I think Silva could be a world beater given the right management, coaching and team. I think that would be us. I would rather him than Villa.
