    Insua pens new deal.

Liverpool youngster Emiliano Insua has today put pen to paper on a new three year Anfield deal.
The Argentine full-back - who has made five first team appearances for the club - has signed a deal to keep him on Merseyside until June 2011.

The 19-year-old is a regular for his country's under-20 team and was a key performer in Liverpool's second string landing the league title last season.

Great news. He has great potential and long term I can see him being our No. 1 left back. That Newcastle link was obviously crap unless it was a loan.
Oh the man is a midfield maestro
and his passes are sooo delightful

That is great news, he will def. get a lot more games next season and seems to be one of the greater prospects coming through!

That was the first thing I thought. I was really disappointed when that link appeared as I believed he was very highly rated (and not just by AF) and looked solid every time I'd actually seen him. Glad to see he has been signed up.

esp with Riise gone and Dossena may take a while to settle and you never know if Aurelio will be fit for the entire season, I would hope he gets some game time.

This is great news, I think he is very close to a first team place.

Aurelio wont be fit, hasen't been for the last 6-7 seasons IIRC. To injury prone to rely on.

                    Don't know.

What I meant is that his past record shows he will be injured through a great deal of a season, and as such he can't be the only backup available as it is to risky. Not quite in the Kewell league, but still tends to get injured a lot.

I think he may be between injuries at the moment

I like Aurelio; I think him, Dossena and Insua gives us excellent cover in that position. Perhaps not on a par with Riise, Warnock and Traore, but at least they have something to aim toward.

Warnock was a good solid honest pro who never shirked a challenge.

Unfortunately, everytime he went into one he always injured himself and had to be subbed off.
