Calling Xabi Alonso a **** for celebrating a win against the Germans.

I think we know who the **** is here.

Can understand the emotion running through the Spanish lads, but we've seen great wins from other teams etc etc, but this does leave a little too strong aftertaste............it was funny in a way, but also a little classless..

A point was made going back for seconds, knew exactly what they were doing and they only stopped short of running in between the camera and Schweinsteiger..
Imagine if that had been Gerrard doing the interview after losing, say the FA Cup final, and, I don't know, the Arsenal lads doing the conga behind him..
Can only imagine the reaction on here

      Ok then.

Let's say it was Rooney or Ronaldo doing the interview for United after we had beaten them in a Champions League Final.

Would you be slagging off Gerrard, Carra, Torres etc for doing that?

      I don't think so.

Quite simply brilliant. Great to see the Germans lose after one of the worst performances in any final.

            I don't think so.

Well, that would be the difference between you and I then (and I'm sure a lot of people would flip one way or the other)..
Of course I'd be ecstatic and have a laugh (much the same way the Spanish lads video emits a laugh), but in the cold light of day, it lacks class and not something I'd like to have associated with Liverpool..

But, hey, this is Spain we're talking about.......not Liverpool..
I was as happy as anyone to see Spain win the Euros.....primarily because they were by far the best side this summer..
The fact that LFC lads were involved in the squad is secondary to that..(although I am delighted for them)

We all ****-talk about "Liverpool class" and "doing things the right way" and yet you would hope our lads would act like poor winners ?
I for one would not like to see it..........Didn't see ManU lording it over Chelsea in the league or Champions League, I certainly would expect our lads to behave as such..

By the way........calling the Spanish lads collectively "a bunch of ****s" for acting a bit over the top in one instance is hardly singling out Xabi for insult

I think it was out of order! Granted they have just won their countries first major trophy in 40 odd years but have some respect and dignity in victory. After seeing the other celebrations, pepe going off on one etc, that has soured it a little for me. Fair play to scweinstieger tho - he can be a narky little ****er and i am suprised he kept his cool, even managed to laugh it off.

And for the record, if we won the league at old trafford - i'd expect the players to go mental, celebrate, rub it in a little but i'd be dissapointed if we gatecrashed an interview like that - and another in this country, we'd be slaughtered for acting like that.

Back on topic - with regards torres sending bottles of spanish wine, imo it's just a bull**** story made up by the press saying he was rubbing it in his 'teammates' face.

I reckon, it's more likely that he received loads of calls/texts from his liverpool team mates throught the tournement - wishing him luck and then congratulating him and it was probably more likely a gesture of thanks for the support etc.

it's a clip of shwienstieger(sp?) doing an interview after the final, the next thing basically the spanish team gatcrash it and dance backwards and forawrds and around him doing the conga - pretty harsh imo

Your reaction to this surprises me Mike.

Especially bearing in mind what you were PMing me the other day

Where its always been.... (like I said, part of me finds it funny (probably that Schwiensteiger handled it well) and part of me finds it lacking class)

But I wonder if it had of been someone else rather than "everyone's favorite national side" ragging on "everyone's favorite team to dislike"........would people think its OK too act the feckin eejit like that..

                                I don't think so..
