    Transfer Funds

Obviously this summer is very important, in that we must get the right players to challenge. But a everyone knows Rafa won't get the funds that Ferguson or Scolari will but in truth how much do you think Rafa will have.

    VIA SALES
    Riise - 4
    Alonso - 14
    Crouch - 11
    Benayoun - 3
    Kewell - 0
    Finnan - 2
    Carson - 6
    Voronin - 1
    Pennant - 3
TOTAL FROM SALES - Aprox. 40-45 Million From Sales.

Now the owners have started talking again and tingsre slowly impoving, Also read that Hicks has promised funds, so I think that atleast the owners will give about £25m. Considering even clubs like Sunderland and Tottenham will spend over this

I think through the appopriate sales, Rafa can go and buy the needed players. I know most people are probably sick of hearing Villa and Silva, but I'm sure Rafa will be interested cnsidering he will have the funds.

Personally I would like to see:
    New Striker - Keane/Huntelaar/Villa (Unlikely)
    D.Silva/Van Der Vaart - 20 Million
    G.Barry - 15 Million
    Dossena - 6 Million
-Finally a new squad player that could replace Benayoun/Pennant, in which we would pay less than 10 Million. I would say De La Red or Santi Cazorla etc.

    Realistic or Not?

Benayoun is worth way more than 3m, 7 at least, but I wouldn;t sell anyways.
Voronin is staying for whatever reason.
Crouch is going to be 10 if we're lucky.
Alonso I'd be hoping for 16.
Not heard anything about Pennant/Finnan being for sale.
Kewell wasn't a transfer, he was out of contract.
Carson I'd hope for 8, but I'm possibly being optimistic.

I´m still hoping Rafa has some money to spend. Even after we bought Barry and Kean.

I think Benayoun should be given at least another season. He scored a good number of goals for someone who was only a squad player last season and he scored more than Kuyt and Voronin combined.
Jellyfish are 97% water or something, so how much are they doing? Just give them another 3% and make them water. It's more useful

          Leave Benni alone!!!
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Yeah I would keep benny as a squad player, not going to replace him with anyone better for the same price. It looks like Voronin is going to get another year

I have a feeling that Xabi will still be a Liverpool player when the season starts as well

Pennant for anything above £5 million please

I believe that the reason we are linked with players like Keane, Downing and Barry are because the likes of Crouch, Pennant and Finnan are leaving. Rafa won't want to destroy the english base in the squad and will have to pay through the nose to get his men!

I think Finnans best years are behind him. Still a good player though. But we have Arbeloa & Degen fighting for the right back position. Carra can play there too if Rafa decides to go with Agger & Skyrtel in the centre.

I would like to see us go for Keane. What happens if Torres were to get injured for a long period? Who would score the goals? Voronin ... don't think so.

It is impossible for us at the moment with united and Chelsea totally out of our league funds wise. Its sickening to see chelsea have just bid **** loads for Kaka and we have to settle for ****ing barry. I would ****ing love to have a CEO like Kenyon as he built unit through their success and put them where they are today and is trying to do the same at Chelsea and we are stuck with Coco who made the decision to keep the club shop shut the day after we win the european cup???

not all about money tho is it mate, the games full of slimy *******s like him and it's not for the betterment of football. As much as Parry gets lambasted, he's a better person than Kenyon.

There aren't many people I would actively try to run over on a zebra crossing but Kenyon is one of them. Anyone who would like to see him at our club needs serious help.
